Great service, value and food

The restaurant is a short walk from the Oracle alongside the canal and based in what looks like a converted old warehouse. The welcome and service is superb, I could not fault it. The food is very well cooked and presented and very reasonably priced for the quality.

Great seafood and wonderful setting

Loch Fyne serves delicious seafood in a delightful riverside setting. The building is really charming, with masses of exposed wood beams and arranged over 3 floors. The historic appeal of the restaurant is something unusual and pleasant in Reading town centre and although on the riverside, is slightly removed from the Oracle Riverside area. For those that don't like seafood there were a few non-seafood options available when I went recently. I recommend booking in advance for weekend evenings. This Loch Fyne frequently does meal deals – including a lunch option and currently a 2 course set menu evening meal for £14.
