Cheap as chips

The Lord Nelson is part of the Hungry Horse chain and so offers your bog standard pub food at cheap cheap prices. It also offers a good selection of steaks. The steaks are a good option as they always seem to be cooked fresh and have a good selection of sauces to acccompany them. The prices are so cheap you cant expect too much and so the food is a bit hit and miss sometimes it is perfect and other times it will be cold and looks like it has been sat around for quite some time. There are lots of offers for curry evenings etc which make it even more reasonable, so for a cheap night out with all the kids it is a good place although the food may not be the best you have ever had. Service is normally pretty quick and the eating area is very family friendly with a few games etc scattered about. There is also a garden area and a more serious bar down the other end.
