We are a bid-writing and fundraising consultancy, based in Bolton and Bury, and work regularly across Manchester, the North West and wider. We work with charities, voluntary and community organisations, schools, colleges, universities, local authorities, housing associations, training providers and businesses and are able to offer a comprehensive range of services tailored to an organisation’s specific needs.
Our services include a free initial funding consultation to identify your needs; funding advice; support with business planning and developing a long-term funding strategy; workshops and training customised to your particular needs; advice and support to set up partnerships and consortia; undertaking research and preparing feasibility studies; carrying out consultation; bid writing or bid review, PQQ / Tender (ITT) writing or review; project and programme development, implementation and management; support to set up systems to meet funders’ requirements; providing an independent evaluation of your projects / programmes; and EU Transnational project development.

Based in Bolton, the company is led by Director Mari Martin-Matthews, who is supported by a bank of highly skilled, experienced consultants who are commissioned according to specific requirements and who have all been through a robust recruitment process to ensure a high quality of service.
MMM Funding Solutions specialises in supporting organisations to develop a robust business case for support from grant funders, public bodies / commissioners and in supporting organisations to develop projects, programmes and organisational capacity.
Mari has 15 years' experience of securing and managing grant funding at a senior level (working as the Head of Strategic Resources at Bolton Council) and has secured over £100m in grants over the past ten years from a range of sources, with close to a 100% success rate.
She has also been responsible for implementing and managing significant capital and revenue programmes (such as European Action Plans, Working Neighbourhoods Fund, Area Based Grant), with typical annual budgets of around £30m and a portfolio of hundreds of projects.
Mari's experience gives her a unique understanding of what funders / commissioners expect and helps organisations to tailor their services in order to achieve financial sustainability.
