Great experience at Mac Garage
I needed an MOT on my wife's 6 year old Golf at short notice. The staff were friendly and booked the car in that afternoon. I dropped the car off and received a phone call when the work was done. With any MOT you have to take the word of the garage whether any additional work needs doing for the car to pass so you need to be able to trust them. I am pleased to say that this garage seemed very trustworthy and the car passed no problem. When I collected the car the mechanic took the time to let me know that the car had no issues and to explain the new style of MOT document which I felt was good customer service. I do not normally comment on review sites but having read the couple of negative comments on this forum I thought it only right to share my own positive experience to provide a more balanced view.

Agreed....conmen
I agree with the other comment,these guys make work up and do not ring you to tell you before they go ahead and fix it.This then leaves you with a bill worth more than the car,of which you have to pay because they wont give you the keys back. Lying,miserable and rude the lot of them.Do NOT trust these guys with your car.

Mac`s Garage Con Men
I put my Citroen in to have a service they claimed that there were so many problems with it and I would not be able to drive it away until they had done the work. Lyingsc#mming very unfriendly CON MEN......I would avoid them unless you want to be ripped off!!!!!!!!!!

Mac's Garage is Superb!
Very friendly and don't bombard you with technical stuff. Very client focussed and willing to take the time to explain everything to you in simple English. Have used them for the last 5 years. I went to another garage to have my MOT done (was close to work) and was so appauled that I returned to Mac's that week for a retest!
