These products have grown from a small experiment in my workshop! It has taken a long time to develop into the versatile material it is today. I hand paint the silk fabric and laminate it with resins and other ingredients. It becomes a fully machineable material, which has a highly polished surface.
I work with my partner,a cabinet maker,to produce the furniture items. The door in this image is in Maple wood inlaid with lines of painted silk. The surface is smooth and polished. Wonderful for a very original kitchen design.Paintings glow and the colours jump off the wall creating movement in the room.Commissions welcome, please phone for a chat or email on address above.

Jewellery.

There are two kinds of jewellery collections.Both are very affordable,starting around £15.00 for earrings.
Laminate Collection:
These are all double sided and have a different colour on the reverse, so they can be worn either way!This collection includes earrings,pendants,and necklaces.Sterling silver earwires used throughout.
Creative collection:
These are made from the "left over" resins layered up with pieces of silk,glitter,threads etc.Very individual, abstract in design and appearance.
Both collections are light to wear,fun,and a firm favourite with customers.No two pieces are the same,so you're guaranteed never to meet someone else wearing your earrings!
