Memory Assessment + Psychological Therapies was established and is run by Dr Pauline Thomson, Clinical Psychologist. Dr Thomson takes the approach that each person brings a unique set of problems and circumstances to assessment and therapy. Input is tailored to meet each individual's needs. Memory assessment doesn't stop at assessment. It uses the results to develop a unique personalised plan of how the person can be best helped to manage or cope with their memory problems. Similarly, a range of therapies are on offer and the person's situation and factors affecting it are considered first before offering a therapy to meet their specific needs.

Dr Pauline Thomson only offers therapies which are evidence based i.e. have good research which shows their effectiveness, and which are recommended by NICE Guidelines.

Dr Pauline Thomson, was previously NHS employed and has extensive experience of working with people with mental health problems including those with significant memory problems e.g. dementia or as a result of head injury or stroke.
