I had my back brakes done here recently and had to take my vehicle back straight away because of the smell of burning coming from the back wheel and it was very hot to touch. To their credit they rectified the situation but the Manager's attitude was very matter of fact, no apology. Despite this I thought that I would give them the benefit of the doubt and give them one more try. On the next and most recent occasion I was informed that my propshaft needed replacing and that the cost would be about £600 for a new one and to fit it. I finally got my vehicle back after about a week and the total cost was now £700, the Manager (quotee) was not available. Two days later there was a clunking of metal to metal sound in fourth gear and I took it back the next day. The Manager told me that the seal had come of the gearbox and that the clunking sound was because where there was no oil inside. It seemed a bit of a coincidence as their mechanic had only just put new gearbox oil in a couple of days previously. (Why did he not notice the leak then? Did he not replace the seal properly? Very coincidental. When the new seal was about to be fitted the Manager had more news for me. "Your gearbox is dented and the seal will not stay in, you need another gearbox". Funny nobody noticed this before, or did it happen whilst in their hands, who knows, very coincidental again. I was not charged for the fitting of the secondhand gearbox that I provided or the seal, you can draw your own conclusions as to why. I for one will not be using that garage again and definetely don't recommend it. My experience was with the main garage not the mobility side of things. I was left feeling very dissatisfied with things and especially by the Manager's attitude who did not question his own workmanship at all. I was made to feel that the situation was my fault and that my vehicle was a problem.
