I visited the town of dorchester on a busy saturday around 12.30 and the little cafe Nappers Mite caught my eye through its lovely historical scenery, which you can read up on within their Menu!, brilliant idea. Welcomed by the well mannered staff who with a smile and bubbley attitude, which is rare these days! took my order. Though prices may seem slightly high, i enjoyed a well presented meal that i would most certainly go back to have again! I recommend the omelette!

Never again.
Me and my best friend decided to visit nappers mite having been before many years ago. The waitress was very polite and knew her stuff { Jolene Im sure her name was, fantastic hair. ) The food we received was under cooked the rest of the staff found it hard to smile due to what almost seemed like bullying from the manager, the manor in which he seemed to be treating them was appalling. Poor atmosphere poor food. Such a shame.

Quick, nice meal
Have been three times, on weekday afternoons. Served quickly and very politely. Food ok, prices fine and surroundings nice. Will definitely go back, next time i'm in Dorchester.

breakfast
this place used to have a good reputation but two of us went in for a full cooked breakfast...no words other than poor..poor ..poor....burnt sausages...& i mean burnt.....atmosphere rubbish and service was bleak. gave it another go a week later as thought might be a one off. honestly was caka...toast came out completely burnt to a crisp and complained to the waitress who was in no hurry to take it back...even to the point of shall i shant i ?. what gets me is how the heck anyone allowed it to get out of the kitchen...what a nerve and shows how low the standards are / fire the chef whoever it is as low standards like this for the price of £6:00 odd is a complete disgrace....wont go again and will tell others not to touch it with a barge pole....i don't understand why i had to try and justify returning the breakfast to the kitchen..this should have been common courtesy....shame it has gone down to this level !!

Good
I went on a weekday in July the service was excellent the food was good the drinks rather expensive but a lot better than some of the well known restaurants in the town,

Gone Downhill
This always used to be one of the best places to eat out for lunch or go to for a coffee and cake. In recent years it seems to have gone downhill and could really do with being upgraded a little.It does offer a good menu offering a range of light lunchtime snacks such as baguettes, sandwiches and jacket potatoes but the quality was not great the last time I ate there. I have to say that I was dissapointed as the service and food always used to be top notch.Besides all that there is a great selection of home made cakes available and this seems to be their forte especially for the influx of market people on wednesday looking for coffee and cake.

Doubtable
i went on a rushed monday bank holiday and was served food quite quickly but the quality was not up to restaurant standard and the benches were not that comfortable. a 2 star rateable place.
