I would suggest anyone reading the review above look into the detail behind what happened at nationwide worktops and understand the reason behind the bad reviews before they take a decision on using the company Arlington who acquired nationwide website and employed one of their pervious MD. I requested a quote from nationwideworktops.co.uk, Arlington were by far the most responsive to my request in terms of communication and in parallel the most competitive. Following this I read a number of reviews related to nationwide worktops as most of us do before I decided to proceed with my order and on the first instance the reviews did actually put me off using them but I decided to research a bit more to find out what has happened and can easily find information on the web that the previous owner of nationwide did go into addmistartion and is now an employee at Arlington. Now don't let this put you off, I decided to approach the pervious MD of Nationwide to question the bad reviews and have to give credit where credit is due he was very open and honest about the issues that had happened. Unfortunately one of his major customers went in to administration which had a crippling affect on his business and there for his ability to provide the level of services he had for years before, which consequently meant he had to go into administration. I can see this is the root cause of the bad reviews. And can clearly understand the frustration of his customer at that time. Now he is only an employee at Arlington and I also spoke to the MD of Arlington which is a company that has been established for many years to clarify the situation In which I had reassurances about their services. Finally I also got confirmation from CD UK which is the only distributor of Corin in the UK that Arlington is one of their suppliers in which they also confirmed. So everything checked out. Now in terms of my experience, Arlington provided me with excellent services from beginning to end! As already indicated from the night when I made a query they were the first to respond and very competitive in terms of cost for my Corian work tops. From the moment I confirmed the order both templating and installation was carried out during the time and date specified by Arlington. Based on my experience and understanding I would gladly recommend them to other customers! Just to make clear I have not been asked to provided this reference I just felt I should share my finding with you and let you make your own decision based on having a bit more information and wouldn't want you to miss out on saving some money where it seems a number of companies are clearly looking to make larger margins on their product for the same services!

I used Arlington Worksurfaces this summer (2012) and the service I received was excellant and I have already recommended them and will continue to do so. I paid a 50% deposit on order and paid the balance just prior to installation. I chose Silestone Worktops after receiving sound advice. Well done to everyone at Arlington Worksurfaces. On February 8th Nationwide Worktops applied for liquidation, I feel very sorry for any one currently doing business with these cowboy's, it is not the first time one of the so called managers has filed for liquidation of a company he has so called managed.

I was initially attracted by Nationwide's low prices and they turned up to template in late July 2011. From that point on things went down hill. Having heard nothing from them by early September I contacted them and was given a fitting date a couple of weeks later. Needless to say what followed was a saga of failed appointments and unreturned calls. As a previous reviewer has commented, their list of excuses are as extensive as they are unbelievable. I eventually pursued this with my credit card company who eventually refunded my entire payment. If you really must use this company then I strongly advise you do NOT pay anything until the worktops are fitted.

I totally regret ever having done business with this company. They never keep to installations dates, are rude when you call them and never call you back. I wish that I had read these reviews before I parted with my money. Avoid them at all costs.

Their prices are attractive, but do not be tempted - it is not worth the pain. Nationwide are the most unprofessional organisation I have ever dealt with. The never turn up for appointments, never return your call, and their list of excuses is vast. My worktops were fitted in the wrong colour, the workmanship was dreadful, and they haven't put any of it right. I don't know how they can run a business like this.

To whom it may concern; I felt in an age where people often complain it was only right to highlight the outstanding level of service I received from Nationwide Worktops. The best decision I made was cancelling my order from Magnet and using you - Glenn gave us some really sound advice when choosing our Corian and explained the colour we wanted would show a seamless line when used on an Island - he even went to the trouble of making an example piece joined to demonstrate the issue which the chaps who made the templates (which were millimetre perfect) were able to show us. From my initial conversation to final sign off the service was of the highest order as was the finished product and the price unmatched by any one else. I would have no hesitation in recommending you to anyone with confidence they would be treated the same. Well done to the whole team at Nationwide.

A nice end product but an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE getting there. Blatent lies, fitters arriving with no glue or cutting blades, fitters not turning up at all, generally a horrific experience. As with one of the other reviews we paid in full up front to get a discount which should have set the alarm bells ringing. Chris, the guy that arranged everything and took the order was suddenly very hard to get hold of once the money had been paid and the problems started (he wasn't so hard to get hold of when he smelled a potential order). I have not recieved any sort of appology for the numerous missed appointments, late arrivals or the hassle we endured. I waited a month before posting this review incase an appology arrived, but nothing did. Nationwide Worktops may seem attractive as their prices are good, but it is really not worth it for the stress it will cause you. I wish we had gone somewhere else and paid more.
