Newmarket is the Home of Horseracing. It is where racing began back in 1666 when Charles II ran the first race under written rules.

Newmarket Racecourses operates 37 race meetings per year over the two racecourses. The NatWest Rowley Mile is known for its modern and imposing Millennium Grandstand and is home to the first classics of the flat season, the 2000 and 1000 Guineas. The NatWest Rowley Mile is home to the hallowed turf, the same turf that Charles II rode on centuries ago.

The July Course has a summer garden party atmosphere for great summer racing including its premier events, The Ritz Club July Festival and Newmarket Nights, evening racing followed by a well known band or artiste. 2006 artists included Westlife, Texas and Ronan Keating.

Corporate hospitality is avalaiable at all race meetings with a range of packages to suit individual's needs.

The NatWest Rowley Mile's Millennium Grandstand is also a conference and exhibition centre suitable for all types of corporate events from small intimate meetings to conferences for over 100 delegates and the Grandstand and outside areas are also suitable for exhibitions of all sizes.

The NatWest Rowley Mile Conference and Exhibition Centre is also fully licensed to hold wedding services and is a perfect and unique setting for wedding receptions. Each year the Millennium Grandstand is dramatically transformed to become a unique setting for Christmas Parties. This year's theme is Winter Wonderland and tables can be booked on an individual basis or the entire venue can be reserved for private parties.
