A lying cowboy

***BEWARE***BEWARE***BEWARE***BEWARE***BEWARE***BEWARE*** Norman Thornton (T/A Norjan Properties ltd. Thornberry House,Horton Lane, Horton,TF6 6DR) seems a likeable person at first, but BEWARE! He carries out Fraudulent practices. He failed to carry out work as quoted or to the timescale agreed. More than once he made excuses for not carrying out work when planned (after we had changed our routine to accommodate him) He stated that the work would be guaranteed by the company supplying the damp proof course material, that was a lie, it wasn’t. Only his arrogance saved us from paying for his cowboy games. Firstly by thinking he could get away with an appalling bit of plastering and then his further arrogance in trying to justify his atrocious workmanship. He then, contrary to all the evidence, failed to admit that he had misled us with his bogus promise of a guarantee....the list goes on! Had he plastered properly we would have paid the invoice and then be left with a useless DPC that did not carry a guarantee as promised. In subsequent correspondence he was patronising and abusive, he lied to us and threatened us. This only ended after we contacted the company supplying the DPC material and they intervened saying that they were not aware of the job and, even if they had been, they could not issue a guarantee because the work had not been carried out to the standard required. I have evidence to corroborate this. He may have carried out decent work for others, but BEWARE, he may put on his cowboy gear and lie to you.
