About

The first craft beer bar in Britain? Probably… A great bar serving a ridiculously varied selection of top quality drinks to a diverse and fantastic clientele? Definitely.

Great Bar. Great Atmosphere. Great Location. However, it loses points for me due to the weird smell that lingers within. Also, its incredibly small and can become cramped. They dont really serve hot food. Only sandwiches,k that they are willing to heat up for you if needs be. But, nopthing looks or smells fresh. The beer tastes weird and they dont have a great selection of bottles. The bar is always over flowing with happy looking students and trendies. But, the seem happy being shoulder to shoulder ( yet still shouting at each other to communicate). It has some great surrounding pubs and bars, and of course. Gate Crasher, which is situated on the same street. Be carefull in this area late at night though, as it can get very rough.

All The Good Go North

Tucked away in a little known quarter of Leeds, North Bar is the pinicle of intermate idiosyncracies. The fact that it is not known by many adds to its charm and attraction. A laid back yet friendly atmosphere entices in all who stray off the usual beaten track of public houses with Leeds City Centre. With a wide range of European beers and real ale, it appeals to a wider range of people. Those lucky few who are aware of this gem cherish every moment. For those who have not yet visited, I recommend you do. An enchanted atmosphere caught up in the magic of fine beer and ale, all at reasonable prices makes this a bar not to be missed anymore. If you want a new experience and to break away from the usual craziness of the busy and loud nightlife in Leeds head straight to North Bar. All the good go North.

Best bar in Leeds

Without a doubt, the North Bar is the best bar in central Leeds. It can be tricky to find and gets stupidly busy on Friday and Saturday nights so do yourself a favour and go on a Sunday afternoon to read the papers and watch the world go by.The beer selection is amazing and the staff know their stuff. There's everything from local ales to world beers and the selection constantly changes.

Best selection of Beer in Leeds?

Service

Quality

Value

North Bar isn't the biggest of bars but it must have the best selection of continental beers in Leeds. They claim to stock around 70 different beers at any one time and who am I to argue! Belgium and German beers are particular favourites! It's a cool and lively place with very helpful staff. It's definitely worth a visit. Note that it gets very busy later on. My only grumble is the late DJ slot which is unnecessary and a bit out of place.
