Direct Debit pit falls
They promote "Benefits" for customers who sign up on DD, but in my experience after being on a DD arangement with them for many years all they did was ramp up the price per litre of my heating oil over time until it was at 80 ppl when the average was around 50 ppl elsewhere (2014). Nice reward for a loyal customer! So check out the terms and conditions they like to refer to on their web site (But can you find them on there?!!!); Establish are these benefits really free? Check the terms of the Boiler Brakedown Cover - will they suit you? What compensation will they make if your tank does run dry (We ran dry on more than one occassion). If you do go onto DD I'd suggest you regularly check what the price per litre is elsewhere particularly over the longer term.
