Mark Weller & OSCID ruined my first dance

Service

I recorded the song for our first dance as a surprise for my husband. The DJ, Mark Weller, pretty much ruined it. Firstly, he played the digital version of the song rather than the CD, despite me telling him several times to play the CD version. He had obviously not bothered to play the track through in advance, or else he would have known there was a problem. Rather than apologise he tried to blame it on a problem with the track, which I didn't appreciate. After the song stopped abruptly, he then played part of another song, before eventually playing the CD version. He was supposed to announce that it was me singing before playing the song, but didn't until the end, and even then that was only because my sister told him to. I told him several times to announce it first and it was on the form that I originally filled in for him, so he should have known what he was supposed to do. My sister had to ask 3 times before he would even play the first dance. Several times during the night he stopped songs halfway through for no apparent reason and started new ones. At one point in the night the music stopped altogether because he had left the stage and the track had ended. He then had to run across the room and do some sort of ninja style roll to get onto the stage. Although this was probably one of the funniest things I've ever witnessed, it's not ok for the music to stop because he's left his post! He kept changing the genre of the music even though people were clearly enjoying what was being played. His ability to clear the dance floor was astounding! He refused to play a song requested by a guest until my husband stepped in and had words. I was dancing on the dance floor with one of the little boys and AGAIN he stopped the music and started waffling on about something or other despite us making it very clear that we didn't want any cheesy DJ talk. Maybe he was having a (very) bad night, but I would not recommend taking the risk with OCSID entertaining.
