I am reviewing this shop because I don't want other brides to go through what I did. I first went to this shop in January to be ready for my wedding in July. I wanted an Alfred Angelo dress and this shop was listed as the largest stockist in Scotland so I drove through. Upon my arrival I was told the shop was shut and they never had my appointment in the book. I was relieved when they seen us as I had driven a long way. I looked through various dresses and found "the one". My brides maid was also lucky and found her ideal dress too. We bought 2 dresses, 2 shoes and two tiara's. At the time they asked for full payment. Apparently their card machine wasn't working so my soon to be mother in law was proptly driven to the bank to take out cash for the dresses. At the time I was just so happy I'd ordered my dress in time and that I had found the dress I liked that I never questioned anything. A couple of months later is when the problems really started. I went to see the florist and like many brides I wanted my colour theme to match the dresses. The florist had asked if I had colour swatches. I didn't so I phoned the shop and was told that I should have had these with the confirmation that my dress was ordered from the dress supplier 4 weeks after ordering my dress. So I waited a few weeks and nothing came. I then called the cake shop and was again asked for swatches so they can match things up. So I again called the shop and was told i should have had them and that they would post some out themselves. So I waited a week and nothing, I phoned and the manager Irene said she posted them. She said she'd send them again. So I waited another week, called her and she said her family were in a car crash and she had to write a eulogy. So I waited another week on these and nothing again. This time she said she couldn't get to the post office because she broke her ankle and was on cruches, she said she'd send her daughter. By this point I was very worried. Nothing ever came and many more excuses followed, her husband was ill in hospital. I then was so upset that I called trading standards to see if they could get me confirmation that my dress had been ordered at all. 3 weeks of further excuses when I threatened to come and get my money back she said my dress was being delivered on the Wednesday. So I called her on Thurs and she hadn't looked through the boxes yet and the same excuse was given for Fri and Sat and Monday. I was so distraught. She then said that she had the shoes, bridesmaid dress and tiara's. She said my dress hadn't come in and she'd chase the supplier. After a week of "chasing the supplier" still no dress. This was four weeks before my wedding. Eventually I threatened to get my money back and she then told trading standards that the dress came in the wrong size and that a shop in england had mine and she would drive down to get it. She tole me at the time that she can re-size the dresses so I was surprised to hear this excuse. The following sunday I got my dress and it was 7 sizes to big and my brides maids shoes were not dyed to match her dress and her tiara was sent back to supplier. I took the dress away as I didn't trust her to do the alterations. After all this hassle my dress just wasn't the same. Today after alot of calling and 3 days before my wedding I got the bridesmaids shoes in the wrong colour and the wrong tiara. Don't spend your money here.
