Our sauce is hand made in the tiny Scottish village of Smailholm. Each batch is hand prepared and blended before storing in huge glass vats for over a year to develop its unique smooth flavor. This maturing process creates a sauce which is smoother and tastier than simple bottled blends. But it takes time and the volume produced is low. However we think this is the way to produce fine flavor and taste. In our first year of production we only produced 250 bottles for sale. We doubled production last year and will double again this year to keep up with demand for this special sauce

Hand made hot pepper sauce to an old family recipe

We hand make our unique scotch bonnet peppers sauce in our artisan kitchen at Smailholm Village Hall. It contains only all natural ingredients and a 100ml bottle contains over 100ml of scotch bonnet peppers plus half a fresh squeezed lime. We then rack it up on large glass jars for over a year to nature and develop its full rich flavor before bottling and delivering to the selected speciality shops. We also sell online at ooftsauce.com
