Court action has been taken
I saw that Mr Bramall has recently had to appear in court after being prosecuted by Trading Standards. I think he escaped a custodial sentence, but good to see that the law finally caught up with him

Dreadful service - avoid!
Having called this man in with the hope of repairing the existing dishwasher, it turned out that it would cost more to mend than buy a new one. Normally, at this point, I would have gone out and bought one myself. But, being the helpful and persuasive chap that he is, he offered to get us a new one at a good price and install it. Ok, we thought - that'll save us the hassle. We couldn't have been more wrong. Alarm bells started ringing when he asked for cash up front so he could purchased the machine. He failed on five occasions to deliver and install, despite numerous phone calls. It took three attempts to get a receipt for paying him up front. He claimed to have the machine, to have left phone messages and so on - all false claims. When he did finally, deliver the machine (almost FOUR weeks later) his installation was shoddy, unprofessional and left a lot to be desired. He didn't have tools, he didn't know how to connect the water inlet hose correctly (tried to fit two washers at the connection point, so it leaked) and left a lot of mess when he'd gone. I had to re-do the connections after he'd gone to stop water leaking under the sink. We still haven't had a receipt for the work and has failed to respond to further requests for paperwork. We would advise anyone thinking of using this company to avoid at all costs. Just because he's listed in the Yellow Pages does not mean he's a reliable bet. He suddenly got helpful when we mentioned reporting the matter to Trading Standards and the tax office...

Oxford Washing Machine
This is a warning to potential users of this company. We have recently fallen victim to the activities of the individual running this business having taken a not inconsiderable sum of money to replace our existing washing machine which like him failed to show up again. We would advise strict caution in having any dealings with such a company with particular warning to those elderly or living alone.

Same day service at a great price (half the Bosch call out)
I phoned up at 10.30 and he was here at 1pm. He examined the machine (Bosch WFF 1401) and said that it sounded like two problems, the pump and the motor. He then took the pump and set off to Oxford for a new part. He arrived back at about 2.30, fitted the new pump and rather than replacing the motor (which looking at the forums seems to be the default fix) he just replaced a couple of electrical contacts (brushes) that were worn. He took another look at the old pump and said that it was not that worn and if I replaced just the impeller, I should be fine for a few more years so did I want him to refit it rather than pay for the new pump? (this machine must be 6-7 years old already but we'd has a new pump 3 years ago). I said yes, so he took the new pump off, added the impeller to my old pump and refitted it. Cleaned the machine and was away. I'm very impressed with the service, not only half the price of a Bosch call out and with same day service. He just replaced the bits that were worn, not the whole "fit a whole new unit" you tend to get with repairmen these days.

Do not use this company
Do not use this company. Owner requested cash deposit for spare parts to carry out some small repairs. Seemed honest enough. He then failed to show up to numerous arranged appointments - claimed that the parts had not been delivered or that the incorrect parts were sent. He said he would show us the paperwork as proof - which never materialised. When he finally turned up (without the parts), he did not seem to know what he was doing. We then requested the deposit back, which did not materialise. Finally, after many calls, visits to his house and letters, we had to use the Small Courts process to get our money back. We were the 3rd claim against him. After a year, we finally received our deposit (and all the Court's fees) back.
