We also offer sporting facilities, Salmon Fishing on the River Shin and wild Brown Trout fishing on 3 hill lochs, Craggie, Dola & Tigh-na-creig. Shooting facilities at special times of the year for Woodcock and stalking facilities for wild Deer. There are 4 golf courses within easy driving distance. Centrally located for hill walkers and touring the Highlands. Lairg has a Visitor centre with popular displays and a cafe and play park, also 3 supermarkets, petrol station, chemist, post office and bank. There is a train station 1mile from the village and visitors can use the local Post Bus to get a lift in to village.
