I purchased a BMW 316i sport compact from Parkway Car Sales on the 28th sept this year, less than three weeks later the clutch went. Took the vehicle to a local garage who confirmed that the car needed a new clutch and flywheel at a cost of 700 pounds. I contacted Paul at Parkway who informed me that since he had written "trade sale" on the invoice after i had signed it there was little he could do. I accepted this, bit the bullet and paid for this myself. Less than 2 weeks later the car broke down on me on the M3 called the AA who diagnosed that the vehicle had lost compression in 2 of the 4 cylinders and the AA man said that more than likely the car was beyond economical repair. Took it to my local garage who confirmed it would need a full engine rebuild at a cost of 3 thousand pounds. I again contacted Paul at Parkway who assured me he would get back to me and this was almost a month ago and strangely whenever i try to get hold of him he is out of the office. I have now left this in the hands of my solicitor but all the same i am out of pocket for a car that is completely useless and the initial repairs that I had to pay for and Parkway simply dont care so long as they have your money. Customer service can only be described as disgusting and after asking around this is far from an isolated case, I would suggest avoiding at all costs.
