Not going there again ...

Booked Pettmans to move house: Half an hour into the move we became suspicious about the way they were dealing with our clothes (which we'd arranged to be packed into wardrobe boxes). A glance into the van confirmed our suspicions - they were throwing our things unpacked onto a shelf behind the cab. When we complained they managed to find the boxes. The team were meant to stay overnight and arrive at 9am to unload. They arrived at 7am having told us they'd slept in the van (we wondered why they'd travelled with a mattress that belonged to a bed we were auctioning with them) and been chucked out of the local supermarket car park. The last item we auctioned with Pettman was sold without the reserve of £100 we had requested, although they claimed they'd tried to contact us when it didn't sell at first. Lost potentially £100-£150 on that deal. So they won't be shifting any more of our furniture, either way.
