I teach all aspects of horsemanship from ground handling to tack fitting; from confident riding at every level to managing injuries and disease; from nutrition to pasture management.
My teaching works in harmony with both horse and rider on a deep spiritual level. The training is available either on an individual basis or in a group environment, where often the sharing of other's experiences will help you identify and resolve any issues of your own in the spirit of partnership and pleasure.

A new way of communicating.

I take horses and ponies in for backing, bringing on and schooling. My aim is to see horses in work whenever possible and welcome problem horses for re-schooling and injured horses for rehabilitation and return to work. I am willing to take in and prepare horses for sale and can also accommodate horses to stay for short periods should their owners wish to take a break. All horses will be treated as individuals with personalised care tailored to their needs. All owners are welcome at any time and are encouraged to be involved in the programme of work developed for their horse. Owners often learn new skills of their own which allow them to continue with the training of their horse once they have left my care. I have a particular interest in the rehabilitation of racehorses having spent 6 years working in racing yards. I have an appreciation of the needs of these horses developed through an understanding of how they are trained and treated during their racing careers. This enables me to re educate them in an informed and empathic way allowing them to develop a new life away from racing.All horses and ponies will experience a happy, calm and relaxed atmosphere which encourages them to learn through play and positive reinforcement.Support from me remains even after the horses leave me; many owners stay in regular contact and continue to receive any support they may need.

I offer a one on one service at your own home or livery yard with your own horse/s, or, alternatively you can bring you horse to my yard but if it is a problem horse then I prefer to see you and your horse at your home first to assess the situation. I will advise you on behaviour problems as well as general horsemanship, riding (classical horsemanship) and care, whether you are a complete novice or an experienced horse person,

Fully insured and licensed establishment I have 40 years of experience with horses. I teach only private lessons, either on one of my well mannered horses or your own horse at my yard or at you own yard. All lessons are tailored to your individual needs. You will also learn all about horse behaviour and management. My methods are based on 'True Natural Classical Horsemanship'. Horse riding lessons for chiidren and adults of all ages and all abilities, nervous riders a speciality, the riding experience also includes taking you out on rides out around quiet country lanes, horse training, young horses and problem horses a speciality, full livery, rehabilitation for horses, etc. Please call anytime, or email for more information.
