Nil for customer service
The Purple Monkey are the ideal place to buy from if you are looking for NO customer service or aftercare, NO communication (as they ignore all emails/most phone calls) and if you want to be fed a pack of lies. This is definitely the place to go if you want to lose business due to their incompetence. I bought a continuous ink system from them in July which was delivered with my address stuck over the top of someone else's in a battered box (obviously another customer's return). I then had to phone repeatedly to get a receipt. I got the same story over and over "Can I call you back later, I'm a bit busy at the moment" - They never do call you back! By October, the cyan had stopped printing and due to multiple head cleans my printer got very clogged. I took it to a repair centre and they rendered it useless and told me to buy a new one. I spent more money on buying cleaning solutions, whilst continuously attempting to get in contact with Purple Monkey for some support. They never once answered the phone. I lost out on so much business over Christmas and afterwards decided to invest in a new printer. I attached the CIS system and yet again the printer would not print all the colours. I devoted the entire day to phoning The Purple Monkey, as this confirmed it was definitely a problem with the CIS they had sold me. Eventually I got through and was told that the lady recognised me as the person who had left a bad review that had really upset her. I told her that I had received appalling customer service and that the review I had left was justified. I hoped that they would go out of their way to help me considering how unhappy I had previously been whilst dealing with them. I was told to send back my CIS system and they would pass it on to the manufacturer – Sawgrass the same day that they receive it, Sawgrass would test it and hopefully replace it within 1-2 days. They told me that if I had any work needing to be done, I could send the images and they would be printed and returned to me the next day (which they did). I thought I had hit a turning point with them. I sent many emails and made countless phone calls to the Purple Monkey over the next week to try and ascertain when my inks would be returned from Sawgrass – none were responded to. The owner was never available – always busy! And her colleague was very rude to me asking me why I was only returning the inks in the January after I'd had them for 6 months. She then told me that my inks worked fine on their printer, as she had used them to print my transfers. This immediately rang alarm bells. They had told me that my inks would be delivered direct to Sawgrass – so why were my inks hooked up to their printer? I contacted Sawgrass the next day, to discover that they had NEVER received my inks. Purple Monkey weren't answering the phone to them and they told me they would replace my inks the next day and take matters into their own hands. Thank God for Sawgrass ! Purple Monkey clearly have absolutely no respect for anyone, if I hadn't of taken the initiative to call the manufacturer direct, I would still be dangling. This is a company I WOULD NOT recommend to anybody. They are cheap – yes, but that is the ONLY thing they have going for them.

Have used this business on loads of occasions and are always happy to help and go the extra distance to incorporate your own design ideas. Always ready on time and always good quality. Guys t shirts go up to xxxxl at least ! loads of choices and dead friendly.
