About

Redfearn Office Interiors - Office refurbishments in London and Surrey

Redfearn Office Interiors was established in 1985 and we have sought to create a company which is able to give a highly professional service without sacrificing the personal approach. We are able to offer a full range of services, from design and space planning, through to final installation.

We have, over the years, carried out many office relocation and shop-fitting projects for companies both in the public and in the private sector and have, in virtually all instances, secured repeat works following the initial contract. The quantity of repeat business is, indeed, one of the most rewarding aspects of our business.

We have recently opened our new showroom/ office facility where we can demonstrate our own design & build capabilities as well as displaying the range of furniture which we can provide.

Design & build projects are overseen by one of the partners, giving easy one-stop access to the client.

We carry Public Liability Insurance and Employee insurance as well as ensuring all of our staff are totally aware of current Health & Safety Regulations.

Office design & space planning - London and Surrey

We are particularly geared up to help you, the client, make the right choices to suit your budget without compromising the standard of finish or the wellbeing of your staff. We understand that the management and maintenance of your premises may be an area in which you are inexperienced and are happy to do all that we can to help you make the right decisions.

On making contact, we will be happy to make an appointment for one of the partners in the company to visit you to discuss your requirements. We can then advise you as to what we feel would be best for your company or, alternatively, we would be happy to discuss your requirements informally over the phone or at our own offices.

Once we have visited your premises we can provide scaled computer generated plans to illustrate ideas and the development of your office space. As we are not committed to particular manufacturers we are often able to relocate and re-use partitions and furniture which you may already have and even expand on what you have using materials from the same manufacturer.

With twenty-one years in the industry, we can give you sound advice as to what is permissible with respect to Local Authority Planning Permission and with the Fire & Civil Defence Authorities. We can highlight where fire corridors and protected routes must be maintained, where the installation of partitions may be a problem, or where additional fire alarm system works may be necessary.

We can also advise on the sound-reducing qualities of partitions, ceilings and furniture and tell you where it would be suitable to install such equipment.

We have a wealth of knowledge regarding the availability of different materials and can compile a complete specification tailored to suit your budget.

Office Partitioning - London and Surrey

Partitioning systems have developed considerably over the past couple of decades.

There are now a tremendous amount of different systems on the market all boasting different qualities most of them very good.

One of our considerable strengths is that we do not manufacture our own system, nor are we tied to any particular supplier. This means that, not only are we often able to match existing systems within an office, but we can also offer you impartial advice as to which system best suits your needs. This is constructed in a very similar fashion to the traditional timber stud partitioning only using lightweight galvanised steel studwork which is then clad on either side with either one or two skins of plasterboard. The void between studs is filled with a fibreglass quilt to aid sound reduction. When correctly constructed this type of partition can achieve good fire separation qualities. Metal stud can achieve fire protection and good sound reducing properties. Joints between plasterboards can either be filled to give a smooth finish or fitted with trims when a relocatable option is desired. A variety of glazing panels and door frames can be installed within this partitioning without losing fire performance, these can be constructed from aluminium, softwood or hardwood. Aluminium framed cost efficient and lightweight. This is constructed from an aluminium framework which can be infilled using either solid panels or glazing. The aluminium frame can be left silver or sprayed to any colour of your choice. This system does not give any fire rating or spectacular sound reducing qualities but is cost effective, relocatable and relatively quick to install. Full glass generally more expensive than the other options but can create striking visual effects. Usually constructed from 10 12mm thick toughened glass which is held in place with a simple top and bottom channel, joints can either be dry (using clear PVC channel) or siliconed (using a clear silicone mastic). Using a range of specially designed ironmongery doors can be hung without the need for a frame which creates a stunning effect. Within the above categories we can also add the use of timber components to give a classic effect and we can construct most partitioning to make it relocatable which not only makes it possible for you to reconfigure your partitioning at a later date for a fraction of the cost but may also have tax saving advantages when first installed. Where glazing is installed, we can offer a range of blinds or films. Films can be cut to create various patterned designs or even in the shape of your companys logo. Most glazing components can be upgraded with a second skin of glass to give additional sound reducing qualities and Venetian blinds can be fitted between the two skins of glass to prevent dust gathering and to avoid damage to the louvres. Virtually any style of door can be fitted in order to achieve a particular look or to match existing doors within a building and vision panels can be incorporated within the doors to satisfy the requirements of Fire Certification.

Solid partition panels can be decorated to any required finish, be it plain emulsion finish, vinyl wall covering (we can provide wall coverings from any of the major manufacturers) or more specialised finishes.
