Steer Well Clear

This business seems to have been set up to take money off the unsuspecting. They took in my 80yr old friends computer as they had been 'recommended' (by another neighbour), but 35 quid later (standard charge fix or not), it was returned worse than before (and still not working.) I interveened (as I know a little more about computers than elderly neighbour), and got them to re-install OS from original discs. When I phoned to ask if it was ready for collection, they said no, as they were waiting for a 'part' to come in. I reminded them they had not phoned anyone to advise them of any repairs, and no quote had been given or accepted. I went and collected regardless and will take computer elsewhere if it is still not working. They were going to charged again for this 'extra work' - so a bill of over 120 pounds for something that is likely to be a lot less. Poor communication, shady staff and I will be going to Citizens Advice to see what can be done to report them. Oh, no receipts given on taking in expensive equipment, and no receipts or bills when you go to pay.
