BEGINNER TO ADVANCED - Whatever your standard, from complete beginner to jobbing professional, we will be with you every step of the way, enabling you to achieve your drumming goals!

STYLES - At ‘Rhythm City' you can discover and learn how to play many styles of music, from Rock to Jazz and everything in between. However, should you want to concentrate on one particular style, we will tailor your lessons accordingly, enabling you to achieve your personnel musical goals.

TECHNIQUE - Drums can be played very quiet and sensitively - they can be very loud and powerful - fast – slow and everything in between. To enable you to control all this and express your musical ideas at the drum kit, you will have to develop a sound technique, therefore, whatever your style or experience we will help you develop a great technique, allowing you to flow round the drum kit with control accuracy and confidence.

LEARNING MATERIALS - Rhythm City has a wealth of original learning material and exercises, that have been developed over many years of playing and teaching experience. We are constantly reviewing and expanding this library, keeping it current. You will get an insight into what the professional drummer faces in real world situations, as we have many drum charts and click tracks from actual shows that our tutors have played on.

In addition to all this we have a comprehensive library to tap in to, covering all aspects of drumming.

GET QUALIFIED - we will take you through your grades and we generally teach the accredited Rockschool syllabus. Students who pass grades 6 – 7 & 8 gain UCAS points, which go towards university entry, should you want to take your studies to degree level.

EQUIPMENT - In your drum lessons we will be be using a number of drum kits both electric and acoustic (real).

The electric drum kits at Rhythm City are state of the art Roland ‘V' Drums and Yamaha. The acoustic kits are professional ‘PEARL' birch, ‘MAPEX' Birch and ‘GRETSCH' Maple.

We have facilities to record your performance from time to time both audio and visual, a great way to analyse and fine tune your musical ideas and technique.
