Romsey Home Physiotherapy

Romsey Home Physiotherapy provides physiotherapy in patient's own homes, at a time convenient to them.
I offer a comprehnsive assessment and individualised treatment with the aim of restoring maximum function. This might be following surgery, a fall or a fracture. I can offer practical help with balance and mobility problems. I work with you to achieve an improved level of functioning and maximum independence.
The practise is based in Romsey but covers a large area of Hampshire.

Mrs JANE HEYER MCSP, HCPC registered

I qualified as a physiotherapist from Salford University in 1978. After working in Canterbury and at King's College Hospital, London, I emigrated to Canada. Here I gained valuable experience in orthopaedics, sports injuries and respiratory medicine both within state hospitals and private practise. I then moved to Sweden, where I worked with orthopaedic patients and within elderly care.
On returning to England in 1996, I started working at Spire Southampton Hospital. During my 13 years there I developed my role and for the last 4 years was the Lead Physiotherapist for the inpatient physiotherapy team. I worked closely with the consultants and nursing team, both on the orthopaedic and cardiac/general surgery wards and intensive care unit.
I have gained vast experience over the years, working primarily with orthopaedic and respiratory patients. I have completed numerous post-graduate courses. Continuous learning is very important to me.
I am passionate about achieving the best results for my patients regardless of age or presenting condition. It is vital to listen to people's needs and understand what is important to that individual.
I gain great satisfaction from finding solutions to everyday problems and difficulties that confront my patients.
I work hard to provide a holistic approach to my patients' rehabilitation, health and well-being.
I believe treatment is most effective and the best results achieved when you are in the familiar surroundings of your own home.

I am a member of The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and the Association of Orthopaedic Chartered Physiotherapists. I am registered with the HCPC. and am governed by a strict Code of Conduct and Professional Rules. This ensures that you will receive the highest standard of care.
