The Lido is lovely but best to stay away on hot days. There is not enough parking, so we saw road/parking rage. People don't take their rubbish home so the place looked like a waste tip. Broken glass from dropped beer bottles on the paths. I feel sorry for the waterfowl that are fed stodgy white bread by every other child, and the plastic bread bags litter the place. What a shame some people treat this beautiful place with so little respect.

Ruislip Lido has something for everyone. There is a footpath all around the Lido that is suitable for pushchairs, prams and wheelchairs. There is a fantastic play area on the sandy beach that will cater for children from 1 to 15+ years old. There is a miniature train ride that is very reasonably priced and of course children can feed the ducks and swans or fish in the reservoir. Unfortunately it isn't safe to swim in the water, but with so many other things to the children won't mind. There is a coffee shop and ice-cream bar all reasonably priced.Parking is free. An absolute must for a fun, cheap day out.
