Ryde Chiropractic & Complentary Therapies

Ryde Chiropractic & Complementary Therapies was established in 2005 and has since grown into a successful and reputable clinic offering McTimoney Chiropractic and other complementary therapies to residents and visitors on the Isle of Wight.

The Clinic welcomes patients of all ages and treats a wide variety of conditions using the gentle and effective technique of McTimoney Chiropractic. This technique is practised by the clinic owner and certified Chiropractor, Roxanne Cussen and her associate Chiropractor Beth Caws, both Roxanne and Beth are members of the McTimoney Chiropractic Association and the General Chiropractic Council (the governing body that regulates all chiropractors).

An extensive range of other complementary and alternative therapies are also offered by other members of the team, including: Sports therapy, remedial massage, acupuncture, reflexology, hopi ear candling, reiki, counselling, hypnotherapy, yoga, pilates and meditation.

The clinic is within easy walking distance of the town centre and bus stops. There is free parking on the street directly outside the clinic and a free public car park across the road.

The clinic consists of a welcoming waiting room, 5 spacious treatment rooms for Chiropractic and other complementary health therapies, a studio for group sessions in Pilates, Yoga, Relaxation and Meditation and a large private garden giving a sense of peace and calm without losing the convenience of a town centre location.

The word Chiropractic translates to mean ‘done by hand'. It is a straightforward method of adjusting the bones of your body to improve the alignment of your skeleton. It also helps the nervous system to work more efficiently. The purpose of Chiropractic care is to realign and rebalance your body to relieve pain and discomfort, and increase mobility. The Chiropractic adjustments allow for improved nerve function, relieving pain and discomfort, increasing joint mobility and providing a route to better health.

Misalignment of the joints can occur for many reasons. Some of the most common include incorrect lifting, car or sporting accidents, falls, stress, and poor posture. This can lead to pain, numbness, pins and needles, or restricted mobility.

The McTimoney method was developed more than 50 years ago by the late John McTimoney and has since grown to be one of the most popular branches of Chiropractic in the UK. It is known for being a precise, whole body approach to Chiropractic care. The gentle nature of the McTimoney method makes it suitable for people of all ages.

The gentle nature of the McTimoney treatment makes it an effective treatment for all ages, from babies and children to the elderly.

The following conditions can benefit from McTimoney Chiropractic care:

Back, neck and shoulder pain
Pain, discomfort and stiffness in the joints
Migraines and headaches
Muscular aches
Sports injuries
Arthritic pain
