VERY DIFFICULT TO CONTACT

I have recently been dealing with SEME because of a faulty Toshiba product and the experience is a nightmare. Their customer care phone line (which you call regarding non delivery of orders) places you in a queue for ten minutes at a time, and then when the phone rings at the end of this wait, you are passed to an ansaphone message stating that they can't take your call and can you leave your details for someone to call you back- which no-one ever does. Utterly infuriating! On the order line you will never get two people who give you the same information regarding orders, nor are they particularly polite. I had to order a new remote control for a Toshiba LCD, (the remote did not work when the tv was purchased). It took me 4 separate phonecalls to discover that SEME needs to send me, by post, the reference number of the product I want to buy, before I can order it (what a waste of time and resources- can they not give me these details over the phone?). After calling back to order and pay for the item I was told the product would be with me within the week, and one month later it has not arrived. I cannot reach their customer care department, despite several calls and messages left; and it is only that department who can help me with the fact my order has not turned up. I work for a retail company, we sell plasma tvs, audio equipment etc, and I cannot recommend that you use this company ever, nor would I recommend Toshiba products (we have recently had a customer's plasma develope a fault and it has taken us over 5 weeks to get anyone from toshiba to do anything about it, despite their claims that they will address faults within 48 hours, and that has taken numerous phone calls). Avoid this company if you can. If you already have a faulty toshiba product, then unfortunately you will have no choice but to experience their incompetence!
