Ah, Yamoto. I love this place. this is where I was introduced to Sushimi. Small cut fillets of fresh raw tuna, salmon and another type of white fish with the most delicious dipping bowls. There was a garlic dip, the wasabi (japanese horse radish, mmm!) and another really fragrant one. They showed us at the seated area round the grill how to marinate the fish properly to bring out the best flavours. It was awsome and my frienf who accompanied mesaid the fish was extremely fresh and the standard was as good as the London resturants! Ha! So lets hear it for Yamoto in St Annes. Tip- Get the plate of Sushimi between two of you cos there is loads of it and its filling especially if you have a japanese soup bowl to start with. Tip 2. I did not like the Saki presented in little jugs-it tasted like gas vapour but my mate said thats how it should taste- go figure! Tip 3 This is not like Waggamama's it is a taste explosion experience and one that you feel all the better for having had it.
