Con man
He took a 50% deposit for upholstering an armchair. After 2+ months & lots of nagging from me, he came to collect the chair. Said he needed money for petrol (fuel crisis time), I gave him £30. 2+ months on, I locate & go to his workshop to find he’s been kicked out. My chair hadn’t been started and is in worse state that when I gave it to him. I feel stupid but he can recommended. I wish I’d read these reviews beforehand!

Shocking, simply shocking
This chap did some work for us; well I say work in the loosest sense. It was more akin to taking some money, making a mess of a cream carpet (which still has oil stains running over two metres through it), promising delivery of items (which never turned up), only giving us half our money back (after six months of asking) and still has an amount that he owes us outstanding after almost a year!! Should Colin Parker of Scaynes Hill Upholstery ever give you his card, tear it up, and use anybody but him!!
