A top attraction for tourists and Londoners. A wide variety of species and with the help of the guidebook we learned some new things.

We visited with our 4 year old niece and 18 month old nephew and they loved the sharks! Our niece enjoyed the puppet show which was put on for the children at regular times. There was an educational theme which was environmental but it was also fun and entertaining to suit the little ones.In some places it would be helpful to have larger viewing areas and seating as it is frustrating and young viewers get impatient. Some parts get congested and there are many baby buggies going round at the same time. The talks are very informative so the adults can learn quite a bit.The London Aquarium website offered a discount for booking in advance online which avoided the lengthy queue.

Our recent visit to the london aquarium was quite good. It has around 400 species in over 50 displays , the best of which was the big shark tank, which we stood and gazed a for ages. It is right next to the london eye and westminster bridge, so nice and easy to find. The family ticket is around £45 which does seem quite a lot of money and this place is not really an all day activity, but we did enjoy it and later found out we could have saved more money if we had got some discount vouchers. Never mind we will be more aware next time we visit. Trouble is the kids want to adopt a cute little shark next time, who are they kidding.

London Aquarium, near the London Eye and the picturesque Tower Bridge is a fun place to visit for adults and kids alike. We went there as a family with a 7 and a 5 years old. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. There is so much to see and they have made it very easy for kids to learn about different species and climatic affects of our actions. The best was the talk about sharks. We recommend that you definitely wait for that talk near where the sharks are. Also, there are lots of street artists outside the aquarium to amuse you if you are looking for more to do.

The london aquarium is very close to the london eye and is easy to combine with the eye as a nice family day out. If you have a tube or train pass you can get a free entry for 1 person when you buy 1 ticket, so you could take a family of 4 and only pay for the 2 adults. The smaller displays were ok but the large shark tank had the wow factor and we spent ages watching the sharks and other fish swim past us, it was wonderful. We wold go again in the future. When you come out you are right near westminster bridge and the river and you could wind down with a nice walk along the river side.

Great day out and loads of deals...

I went here last week, it was great! The ticket price is around £12 for an adult but there are so many deals around at the moment for 2 4 1's, we used our Oyster cards and only paid for one of us.Have a look at the website and check out when the shark feeding is, it's great to watch. It is a bit confusing going round as there are only arrows to show you which way to go, and the toilets are a nightmare as first you have to find them, then when you do you find out they are out of order! Also try and buy tickets beforehand as it saves the MASSIVE queue!!

London zoo is a fantastic place to visit. It is so so big that you will need all day to look around, but it is one of the best days you will have. There are a wide variety of different animals, fro typical zoo animals, to butterflies, creepy crawlies and a huge aquarium. The aquarium was amazing and felt like an attraction in itself! The pricing is fairly reasonable and there are often two for one deals from your train station. You can also provide a donation to the zoo. The food at the zoo is very expensive and I would certainly recommend bringing your own as there are picnic tables available. A very good day out – recommended.

Great place for everyone. I was amazed by the sharks there was quite a few of them. If you have a ticket then you would not que up much but if you're going to buy your tickets there then it would take about 20-40mins. Stank in some places where the tanks were open. It was interesting. Some parts of it I loved others I thought could be more interesting. An example would be that the sharks swimming around were cool but there was a lot of small tanks with small fish which it was difficult to look at because of the crowds. Great place for everyone.

worth a visit.

I visited the london aquarium after a ride on the london eye, and was firstly suprised by the price. compared to some the the sea worlds i had visited while on holiday etc the london aquarium was moderatly priced and with a bit of research you can often get someone in for free along with a paying guest. It houses everything you would expect from a large aquarium from the tiny colourful fish to the large carnivores such as the sharks. this is why i only gave it 4 stars, as you would only want to visit once, and it houses simlar aquatic life to local aquariums.

Not the best aquarium in the world (try Sydney) and not the worst (try Nha Trang) - but what makes it great is the ray pool where you can tickle sting rays to your hearts content - and they love it - I once had two...one on each hand, Matron
