History Of Shabby Paws (Formally PAWtesbey PET's)

Dog Walker, Pet Taxi, Day Boarding. All ran from home in a family friendly environment. Shabby Paws is owned by Jo Watts and Andrea Chesterman and it has been a dream of Jo's for years. Jo attended Merrist Wood Agricultural College studying ND in Animal Management, in which she qualified with a triple distinction, completed a course in Kennel Management with a merit, and passed a Pet Shop management exam, passed level 1 and 2 in Dog Grooming and a pass in Canine First Aid. After she left College, she worked in various animal based placements including Notcutts Garden Centre for 2 1/2 years part and full time. It was working there that she learnt more about Animal Care and customer service. A lot of customers would ask if Jo if she knew of anyone who would look after their pet rabbits while they went on holiday; it was then that he decided to board small pets from my home. She had a small number of regular customers that returned year after year, she gave up the small pet boarding in 2011 after the birth of her firs son. It was around this time that she discovered that there was a need for a Dog Walker in the area and decided to incorporate this into the service. In 2005 she decided to set up the dog walking called it PAWtesbery PETs after the road she lived in, in Camberley. In 2011 she decided to change the name to Shabby Paws as it was more customer friendly. Andrea joined Shabby Paws in 2012, Jo and Andrea worked very closely together and Andrea was responsible for all the design and marketing as her background was in Graphics. But in 2011 after Jo fell pregnant she needed someone she could trust to take over the walking and Andrea stepped in and the rest they say is history.
