Sheila Crerar - neurodevelopmental therapist specialising in learning difficulties, anxiety, emotional and behavioural problems

Sheila Crerar is a psychologist who specialises in the identification and reduction of physiological factors which often underlie learning, emotional and behavioural difficulties. Following my MA (Hons) and Diploma in Psychology I trained at the Institute of Neuro Physiological Psychology in Chester. By assessing a person's neuromotor functioning it is possible to assess the development of their central nervous system and establish whether disruptions in their development are interfering with their ability to learn, play and interact with others. If so, a personal programme of daily specific exercises, carried out over approximately a year, can give them another opportunity to develop the necessary secure physical platform for effective functioning and allows for academic, sporting and social improvements to occur.
