The problem is these idiots can do as they please. If you have a lease with them you’ll owe them money. I never pay them on time. I pay £1,60 per 6 months. Which is a waste of space I drag sending the payment and wait for the g bill of £2,30p to arrive then send a cheque. If they are getting thousands in lease payments then what do they have to sweat about. I can agree they are scumbags and charge you for communicating with them. They do nothing for nothing. It’s a primitive set up. Perhaps I should send them a bill for mowing my lawn every 6 months if the land ain’t mine why are they not maintaining it.

Without fail every single person working in this business is breathtakingly rude and patronising. Their attitude is appalling, all they are interested in is money grabbing whilst delivering the worst service of any organisations I have EVER dealt with. In addition the ancient paper based processes they demand you adhere to is ridiculous. Who in 2021 doesn’t have an email and only deals in cheques? IF I COULD LEAVE ZERO STARS I WOULD!!!!!

£2.50 ground rent payable every 6 months, a 1st class stamp costs 85P plus cost of envelope, plus fuel to post letter to nearest post box plus dig out cheque book...the logic? None! They send out paper reminders... Please save the planet and peoples time. Shenstone Properties move with the times & offer a online payment facility with an automated receipt and a link to the option for people to have the info they need to purchase the freehold.

What an awful company to deal with Never answer the phone, I question whether they actually exist or not They only accept cheques despite trying to make contact in order to speed things up - no response They do answer letters but in an exceptionally rude and abrupt manner No customer service whatsoever

Shenstone Properties are hiding behind the veil of Covid because they don’t want to do any work or help people in any way. They don’t deserve a single star review, it’s just a pity that you can’t give a minus rating because I’m sure that they’d excel in that field.

Asked for a value of freehold

Last year I asked by phone for details. The lady(director) said as it was now less than 50 years it would cost more. I had to send £200 to pay for their appointed surveyor to value the property. Then they would calculate the price. Then I had to go through their appointed solicitor and pay their calculated legal charges. I am waiting for the new government act to pass ( it’s been through almost all of the stages in the House of Lords and will pass to the Commons by the end of September. So Law by Xmas probably)and the ombudsman’s new regulations before I go back to them. They are cash rich per their last balance sheet . So they are not vulnerable.

I have been trying to contact this company to discuss buying the freehold of my house as I cannot bear dealing with them. No phone contact available due to covid (just an excuse) and no email address. Come on, get with the times. I am now getting my quill and ink out to write a letter to a PO box. Totally ridiculous. I don't want to give them any star rating at all. They still ask for cheques for payment, what happens when cheques go?? bonkers

I agree with the above comments. This company needs to drag themselves into the 21st century. What company in 2020 doesn't have facilities for using emailing? Plus you can only make payments by cheque or postal order, no way of using online banking by simply providing a sort code, and account number. In my view, absolutely ridiculous.
