Disappointing Service
I hired a bike from Sherwood Pines Cycles on 04/10/12 and given that they apparently pride themselves on their 'value for money, friendly attitude and approachability', I was not impressed at all. I was blanked by an older member of staff who stood there ignoring me until I asked if I could hire a bike, to which he bluntly replied 'No'. He didn't offer an explanation so I asked him why and he said because there was a large group coming but he didn't how how many. I asked him when he would know by and he told me 11.00; It was half ten at this point. I came back at 11.00 and I spoke to another member of staff who when I asked, informed me that there were two groups; one at 11.30 and one at 12.00, and that I would actually have to wait till after 12.00 to find out if I could hire a bike. I was annoyed that I had been misinformed and after the first group collected their bikes at 11.45, I tried again to hire a bike. The same older member of staff once again ignored me and when I got his attention I had to remind him that I wanted to hire a bike. This time I was successful but I was still left waiting for him to actually get me a bike because he proceeded to have a conversation with another member of staff and then take a 5 minute phone call! So the service was rubbish and I honestly won't be using them again because as far as value went I didn't have it; I paid for a full days hire, which turned out to be worth 4.5hrs in the end because I had to return the bike by 16.30. What I don't understand is why he couldn't have called the group leader who made the booking to confirm the number of bikes needed, why he made me wait unnecessarily for 1.5 hrs before hiring a bike to me, and lastly why he didn't treat me with respect and recognise that I was a paying customer?! Well they have my address and contact number and I sent them an email that same evening and guess what?! I've still not heard from them. Mr P Lu.

cycle hire sherwood pines
we went to hire cycles at sherwood pines. wow what a surprise we came upon a big cycle shop in the middle of the forest. it had everything you could want for cycling. we hired the cycles and had a very nice 2 hour ride around the forest no cars any where.what a find
