Would have liked to have given this restaurant 3.5 stars as 3 doesn't seem to do it justice but 4 is over the top.It is a good consistent restaurant. Can't say it is anything special but there has never been a problem with service or the food. I have always enjoyed every meal I have had there and it is always consistently good.The atmosphere is always bustling and it is a comfortable place to be. It is generally busy though with 3 floors it is usually easy to get a table at most times.The spiral staircase is lovely but be careful if you are wearing heals or a skirt!!Generally a good place to go but don't expect the earth. I return time and time again.

Simply Italian, Simply Average.
To review Simply Italian is a very difficult task to undertake.Whilst there is nothing bad to report, there is neither nothing of excellence to comment on.I tend to be slightly disappointed by a "samey" experience and unfortunately, at Simply Italian that is what I had.The food is ok, the service is ok and the ambience is fine, there is just that little spark missing to make this restaurant deserving of the 4 star rating I believe it could achieve with a little more effort.In terms of food I can have no complaints, I chose Crostini al Tonno to start (tuna with red onion on ciabatta) and for my main course Bistecca al Pepe (Steak in pepper sauce) which is a traditional favourite of mine.Worth a visit.
