Moving to Canada

Before moving to Canada with my family I checked out a few International removal companies and decided on Simpsons. I took the time like most to read a few reviews about the company and it appeared as though there were some bad experiences about Simpsons, there were also plenty regarding other companies. I noticed that many of the complaints were about delayed transit times or ETAs so now I was forewarned. I made contact with the sales guy Chris who wasted no time in providing me with a two quotes, one for a part/shared container and the other as a dedicated. There was quite a difference in price but Chris explained that sharing a container with other customers is the main reason for the delays (as this was my main concern) as the consolidation process can take up most of the time. So my mind was made up and I took the dedicated container. So the time comes and the move was now upon us. Two Simpsons staff (Danny and James) arrive promptly on time at 8am armed to pack our stuff. They were very efficient and even sorted out some of the packing that we had already made a mess of. My advice is to just let them get on with it, they did this quickly and I could see my things were being looked after as the export wrapping of my furniture was amazing! Even though I could see that we were in safe hands, we said goodbye to Danny, James and all of our worldly possessions with a feeling of apprehension. If you’ve ever moved abroad, you will know that feeling! My wife and kids were experiencing excitement and nervousness at the thought of all our goods being taken away until we are reunited in Canada. I then checked with Tracy in the office to make sure that all of the paper work was in order and then made our way to our new life in Canada. Now the reason for my review and cutting a long story short, we are now reunited with our goods and settled into our new home in Vancouver. I must say how impressed I was in the service as a whole. We received delivery last week and after the laborious task of unpacking, have not come across any breakages or damage! Well done Danny and James. I would also like to thank Tracy at Simpsons who was our relocation co-ordinator and in my opinion was very helpful with assisting in the whole process especially with the difficult documents that have to be completed. Simpsons did make what was a life changing experience, a smooth transit and a pleasure and I would like to express my gratitude to all of the staff that assisted with the move. Finally, I would like to say that if you are reading my review and planning on moving abroad, take the time to find out the logistics and paperwork first so you fully understand what is involved. I will admit that relocating overseas is a daunting experience, but Simpsons made it an absolute pleasure and after reading all the reviews prior to making my decision of what company to use I would highly recommend Simpsons.
