I so wanted to thank you after the service and invite you to join us afterwards to drink a toast to Mum and have something to eat. You made such a sad occasion so very special. Absolutely everybody came up to my sister and I and said what a wonderful service it was and how amazing you were. The immediate family new you would be singing but most of the peeps didn’t so when you started singing Jerusalem everybody thought you were a family member going full out. Of course you will know that when someone sings with power it encourages everyone else to sing more powerful too and they did! You were so professional when you sung Ava Maria starting off looking at Mum and then turning towards us, I know a lots of the peeps didn’t have dry eyes, my sister and I certainly didn’t. Mum would have truly loved listening to you. At the wake everyone was asking about you, were you a family member or friend, how did I find you, they couldn’t believe it when I said I just googled funeral singers? So my sister’s and mine heartfelt thanks to you for joining us and making Mum’s sent off truly beautiful. With warmest regards to you and good luck for the future, it was a pleasure (although so briefly) to meet you.

Just a note, which is of course appropriate, to thank you for your work yesterday. Everybody was very impressed, again, with your performance and I would like to add to that how impressed I was with your help and advice throughout. It certainly helps to have professionals to add a poise to the singing and I know it helps to swell the congregations efforts in the hymns. I am confident that your work improved the service and allowed people to concentrate on Kate rather than worry about mechanics. In the end I thought it all went well and was a fitting send off for her. Naturally I liked the trumpet blast at the crematorium which, although we might expect it, was perhaps a little earlier than I had anticipated. I do hope that we might meet at sometime without somebody actually having to die which is always a difficult and rather awkward period. I can though say that I am asking, by then I will not be able to insist, that you are at my funeral to add to the occasion. Thank you again for your time and effort.
