As the Sirocco Inn, this restaurant was the best Thai restaurant that I've eaten at throughout the country. (In case you're wondering I have eaten at more than one!)I particularly loved the vegetable tempura as a starter where the batter was lovely and light and the vegetables were still crisp and refreshing. I'd then follow it up witn either a red or yellow curry.Within the last few weeks, Sirocco Inn has been renamed (and possibly taken over by new owners or management.) It is now known as So Thai. Naturally, we had to try the new menu within a few days of it reopening. Unfortunately, we were both disappointed. The menu is much shorter than the original although it is possibly more of an authentic Thai menu. Both myself and my husband struggled ot find anything on the menu that we wanted to eat. When we did order, the food was pleasant but we probably wouldn't make an effort to go back because of the lack of choice.
