DIY Star Ceiling Kits Brief Fitting Instructions For Our LED Fibre Optic Star Ceiling Kit Lights

The star ceiling kit you will receive will contain the following items:-1x LED Light Driver1x 9v Transformer1x Plug Adaptors for UK or Universal Plug Adaptor for All Other Countries10x Bundles of 15 Fibre Optic Light Cable (already attached to driver)1x 1mm Drill Bit1x 25ml Silicone Adhesive Tube---------------------------------1. Positioning Of The Light DriverPosition the light driver above/behind the desired location making sure the fibre optic strands cover the area you wish to be lit.2. Drilling Of HolesUsing the 1mm drill bit supplied drill your required amount of holes through the surface of the material you are working with (fig1). For a neater finish drill from the visible side of the area, i.e. bedroom side. Remember that you have 150 points of light to drill so the design is entirely up to you.3. Fitting of Fibre Optic CablePlace the fibre optic cable through the 1mm holes from the top of the surface area (fig2). Make sure the fibre optic cable has extended the opposite side by at least 2 inches.4. Fixing of Fibre Optic CablePlace a pea sized amount of silicone adhesive around the cable on the inside of the surface area and allow silicone to dry (fig3&4).5. FinishingReturn to the visible side of the area and wipe away any small amounts of adhesive that may have run through. Trim the fibres to a length of 0 to 2mm from the surface area, a closer trim is recommended to achieve the best finish (fig5). It is also recommended that any paint work should be carried out before fitting of the system or while the cable extends the surface by a greater amount before any trimming.6. Connection to the MainsPlug the 9v transformer in to the universal plug fitment and select the appropriate adaptor for your country. Connect to the mains and watch your project come to life!
