The Transit-sized Buckland or Steam Clean Carpet Service vehicle will be positioned in your driveway or adjacent to your property and will hook up to your outside tap/hose connection. Large vacuum and high pressure hoses are trailed into the property from the vehicle. In brief the operator will then vacuum your carpets followed by a pre-spray with a soapy substance that will help to emulsify the stubborn soil attached to the pile of the carpet. The truck mounted system is then employed to spray a detergent suspended in a very hot mixture at high pressure onto the face fibre of the carpet and then extract it with a very powerful vacuum almost as soon as it is spread on the carpet (real steam can be seen jetting from the end of the metal wand tool used by the operator). The whole operation is very quick and efficient and the carpets are dry in 2 to 3 hours. This process is for carpets only as we generally use electric machines to clean upholstery which produce a very hot mixture but seldom do we use very hot steam on (fine) fabrics.
