He should be in prison
As with the other reviews, Steve stole from my young family and me. Did the first bit of the job - very badly - then disappeared with my £11k. He lives in Cyprus most of the time so is basically untouchable, pity as he needs sustained touching with a horse whip. Vile human being.

The man is a criminal
Steve Ovenden stole £11k from my young family and me a few years back, all our savings. The only work he did do, he did wrong - digging a foundation in the wrong place. He had a nice manner and so I trusted him, more fool me. Never again but I hope someone reads this before giving him a penny.

Beware!
We decided to go with Steve Ovenden several years back for an extension - paid 11k upfront, he never completed the work, we were left with a dug foundation and that was it. Chased him for the money he owed us for months, we never did get it back. This man is a thief and con artist please do not make the same mistake as us!

Con artist
Steve came over to our house to complete some work, which was fine. We had additional things we needed done, and he decided to take an advance. I was stupid enough to give this to him and now I have chased for months and months and nothing. Fuming!

No insurance, negligent and tries to keep the deposit
Steve (Anthony) Ovenden of Mitcham trading as Build-Easy asks for money upfront in this case £1950 on 21.7.17 and no work todate. He went through a roof when attempting to double his quote and then left the area uncovered causing rain damage to 3 floors. Currently my house is held up by acro props and waterproofed via taupalines, 3 rooms out of action. He tried to work without insurance, adherence to building standards and engineers specifications. All essential when removing structural timbers. A stressful nightmare no doubt will have to resort to the courts to get my money back and compensation for the damage. Beware.

Con man
He owns us £31k for work he never completed. The police are now after him. Absolute con man.
