Established in 1966, Tanby Swimming Pools and Hot Tubs is a family business specialising in building award-winning indoor and outdoor pools. As founder members of SPATA (Swimming Pool and Allied Trades Association), Tanby is able to give up to date and correct advice on the daily running of your pool and hot tub.The installation teams at Tanby work all year round to allow people to live their dreams, so whether you want to be able to host poolside parties next summer or beat the winter blues with a relaxing spa, the time to act is now! Tanby did a superb job with our much-used and enjoyed courtyard swimming pool. The team listened very carefully to what we wanted in terms of design, aesthetic and function, and then went all out to deliver it. They made insightful suggestions on a range of issues, and the pool we got was as a result even better than we had initially expected. The pool was constructed when our house was undergoing a total renovation, which required meticulous collaboration with the architects, builders, stone suppliers, landscapers and electricians. Tanby worked well with all of the other participants in the process, and accommodated changes to the construction timetable that were driven by delays in the house renovation. We had some very specific requirements, including as to the swimming cover and pump, and the siting of the wiring and hoses for them - Martin Borley personally took charge of these and delivered what we wanted even though it was the first time Tanby had had to deal with some of these requests. When issues cropped up, as they always do, they were solved with one phone call to Martin, and with Tanby delivering the solution without our feeling it had ever become our problem or burden. This is truly exemplary service. We are very happy that we used Tanbynnnnnn for our swimming pool and we would recommend them very highly to anyone who is considering having a swimming pool installed.

We approached Tanby having found them mentioned as a SPATA award winning contractor. We were keen to make sure that any pool we commissioned was a high quality design and build, given that it would be a central feature of the main garden, fully visible from many aspects of the property. Tabby got this immediately, and knowing that we had no previous experience of building a swimming pool, guided us through the design options in a very clear and coherent manner. They also took the time to investigate what we wanted from a pool to ensure that it was as strong in function as form. During the construction process the Tanby team were a pleasure to have around the house, and very communicative, which was important to us. The quality was superb and post completion, they have been as focused on dealing with the inevitable minor snags as they were during the construction. Everyone who sees the pool is hugely impressed with it and we have recommended Tanby to close friends.
