I went to visit an old friend in Lewes and we went to dinner here since it was 5 minutes from her house. It looks like your standard old man's local but it functions as a seafood restaurant with some accomodation upstairs. The menu looked delicious so naturally I had problems picking something. I actually ended up having 3 starters instead of a starter and a main. God, I'm greedy...I had moules marinieres, smoked salmon and scallops with spinach and a cheese sauce. They mussels were fantastic, they tasted really fresh. It does make a difference being right by the sea! The smoked salmon was pretty good too...simple but tasty. I thought the scallops were a tad overcooked for my tastes but were plump and still moist. All this was washed down by a bottle of wine. It was a pretty good meal, seriously relaxed and I had a chance to catch up with my friend. I'd recommend it to anyone.
