Your new local Chef & Brewer has arrived!
If you haven't visited us in a while, you'll be amazed
at what's changed at The Chequers...
The Eversleys Cross pub in Hook, reopened on Tuesday 24 April 2012 with a brand new look, menu and team.
Jimmy Drinkwater, the new general manager joins with an extensive history within the Chef & Brewer brand, making him an expert in delivering high standards in terms of service, quality and the overall guest experience.
James Drinkwater, said: “I'm thrilled with the feedback from our community regarding the introduction of the Chef & Brewer brand to Eversley Cross. We're all about the seasonal produce and the new menu offers quality, freshly prepared food at affordable prices. Already the Chef & Brewer Sharing Platter, Brewer's Chicken and Venison Medallions are quickly becoming a hit with the locals."
Following the investment, The Chequers has a fresh new look inside, including historical features and outside the al fresco dining area has been given an update ready for the warmer months. The Chef & Brewer menu is designed with seasonal produce in mind, which is complemented by a range of drinks including traditional cask ales and wines all served in a relaxing and cosy environment.
This pub is great, if old English charm and character is what you're looking for. Overlooks the cricket green, so on a summers day it's ideal to sit outside with a nice cold drink and enjoy the cricket. Food is good too, making this place ideal for a sunday out with friends and family.
