Situated in rolling Shropshire countryside close to the Severn Valley, The Hundred House Hotel is a family-run hotel and restaurant just outside the historic industrial settlement of Ironbridge. With two AA rosettes to its name for the past twelve years, cuisine in the engagingly informal restaurant is an adventurous blend of the rustic and the progressive, a hearty, unfussy menu of brasserie dishes from beef and venison pie to roast Apley partridge stuffed with mushroom and cotechino.

I attended a very poor buffet and disco here on New Year's Eve. No ambience here at all, someone asked if we were attending a funeral. The salads were very poor and the dried out beef had been cut paper thin. Uncovered food was laid out near to the entrance door and people were passing by. I've been generous giving a one star rating.
