Restaurant is clean and tidy. Seats are comfortable. Food is very well priced and served to a high standard. The servers are good looking and friendly. Service is swift and efficient without being impersonal. Drinks are served to a high standard. I would recommend booking in advance as it can get busy. The sunday roasts are fantastic too. £7.99 for a big helping of beef gammon and chicken, veg, yorkies, roasties and gravy. £2 for any starter and £2 for any dessert too You won't be disappointed

Just back home tonight coming from the Maltings and I must say I am glad to have found such a gem of a restaurant. Went there with the wife on the advice of my brother in law as he is somewhat a regular there and he raves about it constantly. The Food is very reasonably priced. I have paid two to three times the amount for the same quality and the portion sizes are just incredible! As for the taste . . .all I can say is words cannot describe how tasty it is. You must try for yourself. The service by far exceeds that of any restaurant I have ever been to. The girl who took us to our seats was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Great first impressions. Our waiter was a class act. Truly brilliant, made us feel comfortable knowing we were in good hands. Add this to comfortable seating and relaxed surroundings making it a perfect dining experience. Well done to the management and staff. I shall be back and I will reccomend to everyone! Callum Wallace

This place is close to where I work and they do fantastic offer - you can have three course meal for 9.99! That is why me and my colleauges go ther for lunch few days a month. I can not understand negative opinions about this place as I have totally positive experience every time when I am there. It's fairly busy there most of the times but staff is very friendly and dedicated to their job and customers - especially Eunice and Agnes - they know me well, know what my favourite dishes are. Always make me feel welcomed and looked after. When it happened that there was a problem or a delay I was always apologised and that was always well managed. Portions are nothing like poor, try to have haggis and chocolate cake - you will be not able to move!

Its all changed. Not the same any more. Lost it's character... Bring back the Hungry Horse... We miss that restaurant. This one lacks character and is expensive.

Just went there and it has lost it's appeal and character. Thought the staff are friendly and helpful, the portions have shrunk and the prices have gone up. No more great steaks. Sadly miss the old Hungry Horse!

This restaurant has been refurbished and renamed. Now called The Maltings. It has become very sterile like other chain pub restaurants. More expensive and food portions have shrunk. Would be going back. Used to be great.
