About

The Old Oil House

The Old Oil House is a 1st floor apartment dating back to 1850, situated in the picturesque harbour village of Boscastle.

It was built as a stone shop and garage, and was originally part of The Bridge House. In 1984 it was converted into a 3 double bedroom apartment spread over 2 floors, benefiting from a modern, light and airy feel.

The Old Oil House is centrally located within the sought after, lower part of the village, just a few minutes walk from the Elizabethan harbour. It is situated on the end of the picturesque pedestrianized street of Valency Row. The Old Oil House benefits from views up the hillside and down across the Row.

The accommodation sleeps up to 8 people and also has a cot, so would suit a family or a group equally well.

A short walk along the harbour wall will take you to the Cornish coastal path, which makes The Old Oil House an ideal base for walking holidays. Approximately 3 miles from Tintagel with its historical castle and links to King Arthur, and the beautiful beaches of Crackington Haven, Widemouth Bay and Trebarwith Strand a short drive away, also make this self-catering apartment an ideal base for family holidays in north Cornwall.

With numerous pubs, restaurants and cafés within easy walking distance, and other local eateries only minutes away there is something for all the family.
