The Studio
The Oxford Pilates Studio was established in Oxford in 2000 by Diana Sullivan, who trained with Romana Kryzanowska a student of Joseph Pilates. Andrea Jobbagy took over as the Director of TOPS in 2013.
The Studio works very closely with The Oxford Physiotherapist Service, a physio and rehabilitation centre with links with the newly opened Athlete Centre gym in the Botley area of Oxford.
Pilates
The aim of Pilates is to achieve muscle balance and to improve posture, resulting in more economical movements.Economical movements can reduce risk of injury, enhance performance, increase endurance, flexibility and strength, while reducing pain due to muscle tension and imbalance e.g.: lower back pain, sciatica or tension headache.
